My Northern California Field

As far as placing international students with local host families, it's down to the wire ladies and gents! Crunch time! Mid-August crunch is avoidable, but sadly, there are not a lot of families willing to host this year.

I can't believe it! There are still more than 80 students without a family in the Coastal Rim district! This is also when YFU staff and volunteers shine their brightest... It's an intense month, but it's ultimately worth it. Students end up placed in fabulous families, with an exciting year ahead of them. Right now, my field's Director, Bernadette, is working her you-know-what off to place students. Our field has placed 25 students already. Sixteen of them are already here in the USA! We're determined to place more students!
